The Domowik (Poland) or Domovoi (Russia) is a Slavic hearth deity and protector of the home. This (generally) benevolent entity will help with household chores and guard your home from misfortune. Sometimes taking the form of yourself or a family pet, the Domowik may be seen pulling weeds or chopping wood at odd hours. Keep the house tidy and leave the Domowik offerings to stay on his good side. If things keep breaking around the house or if personal items go missing, you may have angered the Domowik! Nothing a small offering of tobacco and fine food wont fix. One final tip: don't speak his name aloud after sunset!
