For fresh tattoos, wash gently with a mild antibacterial soap 2-5 times per day. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Using clean hands, apply a very thin, even layer of Ink Balm to your tattoo. Ink Balm is designed to melt at body temperature. If Ink Balm is thicker or harder than desired, we suggest softening a small amount between clean palms before application.

Ink Balm can be used alone or with our Ink Spray for a complete aftercare system.

If used together, we recommend applying Ink Spray prior to applying Ink Balm. Ink Spray can also be used in between washing to relieve discomfort and itching.

Alternatively, apply only Ink Spray after washing for the first 2-3 days of healing, or until the skin is dry and tight. Then begin applying Ink Balm after applying Ink Spray to hydrate skin and prevent cracking. Continue until your tattoo is fully healed.
